The pre- and post-delivery service includes:
The same service is provided on the return trip. Pre- and post-trip transfers between the provinces and Paris are available provided there are at least 10 participants departing from the same city.
*LEC reserves the right to choose the mode of transportation (train, bus, or plane) due to scheduling constraints and/or to ensure compatibility between the travel schedule from the provinces to Paris and the departure or return times from Paris to the destination.
In some cases, due to the schedules set by airlines, flight rotations, and safety requirements—particularly during peak travel periods—we would like to point out that both departures and returns may take place either very early in the morning or very late in the evening.
Direct travel and pre- and post-trip transportation from provincial cities are optional additional services offered by LEC, separate from registration for the language study program. In the event that the number of participants registered for a trip or pre/post-trip transportation departing from a city in the provinces is insufficient (fewer than 10 participants), or in the event of scheduling conflicts between SNCF or airline schedules and connecting schedules to the destination, or if train seats are not allocated by the SNCF or airplane seats by the airlines, or in the event of a strike by the SNCF and/or the airlines, LEC will do everything possible to offer a departure from a city near the one chosen at registration or, failing that, a departure from Paris. In all cases, registration for the language stay will remain valid for departure from Paris; the only service canceled will be the optional supplementary service consisting of direct travel or pre/post-trip transportation from provincial cities. Pre/post-trip transportation from Aix, Marseille, Montpellier, Nice, Perpignan, and Toulouse may be provided via sleeper train (escorted travel). In this case, departure will take place the evening before and return the morning after the selected dates of the stay. Pre- and post-trip transportation from other provincial cities will take place very early in the morning, very often on the first train bound for Paris.
Parents must be present to pick up their child(ren) on the day of return at the meeting point and time specified in the information previously provided by LEC to the parents. In the event of the parents’ absence, LEC cannot be held liable under any circumstances.
Any registration request accepted less than 30 days before departure will be processed subject to the availability of shipping, rail, and air carriers, and travel fares for these late registrations may be subject to surcharges based on the increases applied by the transportation companies.
