Seeing Niagara Falls is, in itself, a unique spectacle that few places on Earth can match. But seeing them during the Winter Festival of Lights is a whole different story… During your language study trip to Canada with our organization, LEC tells you about this event unlike any other in North America, whose 2015 edition begins today, Saturday, November 21…

A one-of-a-kind show made in Canada

About a hundred colorful installations and fireworks lighting up the nights over Niagara Falls: that’s the spectacle promised for two months, from November 21, 2015, to January 31, 2016, by the Winter Festival of Lights! It’s sure to delight everyone—curious visitors and locals alike, young and old.

View of the legendary Niagara Falls

The team’s goal? To capture all the magic of a Canadian winter through a spectacular display of lights, concerts, shows, and plays, centered around one of the most iconic landmarks on the entire American continent. The ones we’ll call Niagara Falls during their language study trip to Canada are a series of three waterfalls located on the border between Canada and the United States. Their spectacular flow makes them the most powerful waterfalls in North America… and a major tourist destination for over a century.

A free event

As for the admission fee for the Winter Festival of Lights, it’s unbeatable—it’s… zero! As stated on the event’s official website, there is “no admission fee to see the lights.” However, donations are accepted— and even encouraged—to help ensure the event’s continued success.
