The Intensive English program is offered as part ofmiddle school study abroad programs in England.

The Intensive English Program in Detail

In addition to the 3 hours of language classes included in the middle school program:

  1. 2 additional 2-hour English classes per week, in the afternoon:
    – Focus on oral communication, conversation, and comprehension:
    – Current events, debates, role-playing, practical exercises, role-playing scenarios, etc.
  1. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  2. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  3. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  4. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  5. Press reviews, discussions, etc.
  6. Classes taught by a team consisting of an English-speaking teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining a variety of teaching approaches
  7. Submitting a trip report

In addition to the intensive English courses

  1. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, led in English. Each day, students choose what they’d like to do from a wide range of activities (depending on the location):
    Sports: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
    recreational activities: drawing, escape games, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, etc.
    – cultural tours ( depending on the location): Oxford or Cambridge University, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the Roman Baths in Bath, etc.
  1. One day trip per week, such as to Cambridge, London, Bath, Oxford, or Bristol, etc.
  2. Every evening, there are supervised activities such as: LEC parties, karaoke, trivia nights, talent shows, casino parties, giant "Draw and Win" games, BBQ parties, fashion shows, social games, and more.
  3. Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 12 children
