Middle School Study Abroad Program in England – Intensive English

Intensive English courses and a variety of activities at a beautiful English school Ages 11–14 / Ages 14–17 – 6th through 11th grade

The "Middle School – Intensive English" program is designed for anyone who wants to study at a superb English middle school and, in addition to three hours of English classes per day, take four extra hours of classes per week, all while enjoying a wide variety of recreational activities and evening events.

Accommodation

  4. On campus, high-quality sports and educational facilities: green spaces, a gym, sports fields and playgrounds, a swimming pool, a theater, etc. (depending on the location)
  5. Modern and comfortable classrooms
  6. Full board with hot meals for lunch and dinner ( on excursion days, packed lunches are provided)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. 2 two additional 2-hour English classes per week, in the afternoon:

– Focus on oral communication, conversation, and comprehension
– Current events, debates, role-playing, practical exercises, role-playing scenarios, etc.

  1. Classes formed based on a placement test
  2. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  3. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  4. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  5. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  6. Classes taught by a team consisting of an English-speaking teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining a variety of teaching approaches
  7. Submitting a trip report

Supervision

  1. English and French teachers and activity leaders available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French director on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, led in English. Each day, the young person chooses what they’d like to do from the following options ( depending on the location):

Sports, such as: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
Art and leisure activities, such as: drawing, escape rooms, scrapbooking, crafts, etc.
– Cultural visits, such as: the Roman Baths in Bath, Nothe Fort, etc.

  1. One day trip per week, such as: Cambridge, London, Bath, Bristol, Oxford, or Bristol, etc.
  2. Every evening, there are supervised activities such as: LEC parties, karaoke, trivia nights, talent shows, casino parties, giant "Draw and Win" games, BBQ parties, fashion shows, social games, and more.
