England - July - August - for students in 6th grade and up

This program, offered at a boarding schoolin England during July and August, is designed for anyone who wants to study at a superb English boarding school and, in addition to three hours of English lessons per day, hopes to improve their chess skills while also enjoying a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities and evening social events. 

The Chess Set Option in Detail

  1. 3 sessions of 3 hours each per week, in the afternoon, taught in English
  2. A program suitable for both beginners and experienced players
  3. Introduction to advanced rules such as en passant, pawn promotion, castling, etc.
  4. Analysis of games played by grandmasters and development of tactical skills through the resolution of thematic problems such as checkmate, fork, pin, en passant, discovered attack, back-rank weakness, etc.
  5. Enhance your strategic understanding by studying all phases of the game (opening, middle game, and endgame) and learn tips on time management, concentration, analyzing your opponents, and more.
  6. Tournaments at the end of the trip

In addition to chess lessons

  1. 2 to 3 afternoons of leisure activities per week, led in English, during which students choose what they’d like to do from a wide range of options, such as:
    Sports: tennis, swimming, soccer, snag golf, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, bubble soccer, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, Zumba, bowling, etc.
    arts and crafts: drawing, escape games, scrapbooking, origami, applied arts, etc.
    cultural tours (depending on the location): Oxford or Cambridge University, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the Roman Baths in Bath, etc.
  2. One day trip per week, such asto Cambridge, London, Bath, Oxford, or Bristol, etc.
  3. Every evening, there are supervised activities such as: LEC parties, karaoke, trivia nights, talent shows, casino parties, giant "Draw and Win" games, BBQ parties, fashion shows, social games, and more.
