Basketball is offered in England as part ofmiddle school programsand through homestay programs in Ireland
The Basketball Theme in Detail*
In addition to language classes:
- 3 three-hour basketball sessions per week, conducted in English
- A program suitable for both beginners and experienced players, led by a certified basketball coach
- Improving offensive and defensive systems
- Workshops on dribbling, passing, jumping, mid-range and long-range shooting, footwork, marking and breaking free, etc.
- Practice for the different positions: point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center
- Practicing the techniques covered during 5-on-5, 3-on-3, 2-on-2, and 1-on-1 drills

In addition to basketball practice
- 2 to 3 afternoons of leisure time, led in English, during which students can choose what they’d like to do from a wide range of activities such as:
– Sports, such as: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, drawing, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
–Art and leisure activities, such as: drawing, escape games, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, etc.
– Cultural tours, such as (depending on the location): Oxford or Cambridge University, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the Roman Baths in Bath, etc.
- One day trip per week, such as to Cambridge, London, Bath, Oxford, or Bristol, etc.
- Every evening, supervised activities such as: LEC Party, karaoke, trivia night, talent show, casino night, giant "Draw and Win," BBQ party, fashion show, social games, and more.
- Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 12 children
