England - July, August - for students in 6th grade and up
This program, offered ata boarding school inEngland during July and August, is designed for anyone who wants to study at a superb English boarding school and, in addition to three hours of English lessons per day, dreams of honing their manga drawing skills, while also enjoying a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities and evening social events.
The Manga Theme in Detail
In addition to language classes:
- 3 sessions of 3 hours each per week, in the afternoon, conducted in English
- A program designed for bothbeginner and experienced artists who dream of becoming mangaka
- Development of basic methods and proficiency with equipment
- An introduction to the essential principles of drawing and the world of manga: proportion, movement, character design, line work, composition, perspective, etc.
- Create your own manga character and produce a single panel, going through every step of the creative process: storyboarding, genga, panel layout, inking (Kento), coloring, pencil sketches, etc.

In addition to the manga classes
- 2 to 3 afternoons of leisure activities , led in English, during which students choose what they’d like to do from a wide range of options, such as:
– sports and arts: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, drawing, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, scrapbooking, golf, cricket, arts and crafts, escape games, badminton, bowling, etc.
– cultural tours (depending on the location): Oxford or Cambridge University, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the Roman Baths in Bath, etc.
- One day trip per week to places such as Cambridge, London, Bath, Oxford, or Bristol, etc.
- Every evening, supervised activities such as: LEC party, karaoke, trivia night, talent show, casino night, giant "Draw and Win," BBQ party, fashion show, social games, etc.
