The Family Immersion Program in the USA is designed for young people who dream of experiencing life within an American family. During this three-week stay, participants will have the opportunity to discover, from the inside, a new way of life and a culture that is as breathtaking as it is exotic, all while practicing English on a daily basis. It’s the perfect way to improve your English and feel more comfortable speaking!

We offer two types of sessions:

  • Introductory Immersion Session

    1. Discovery Immersion Session: Arrival airports: New York or Chicago
    • Participating in the family’s daily activities: Your child will be able to participate in their family’s daily life and adapt to the customs and traditions of their new country. The key to a successful stay lies in the young person’s motivation and ability to take full advantage of their immersion to discover a foreign country, language, and culture.
    • A day at an amusement park
    • 1 orientation meeting at the beginning of the stay
    • 1 farewell party
    • In addition, depending on your arrival airport:
    1. A 2-day tour of New York City featuring visits to must-see attractions, such as:
      – the UN Headquarters, Central Park, a ferry cruise to see the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Times Square, Battery Park, Chinatown, Fifth Avenue, Madison Square Garden, Wall Street, and more.
    2. A 2-day tour of Chicago featuring visits to must-see attractions, such as:
      – Millennium Park with the Crown Fountain and Cloud Gate, Navy Pier along Lake Michigan, Lincoln Park and its zoo, the Loop district, the Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank, shopping on the Magnificent Mile, a boat tour on the Chicago River, and more.
    • Supervision of field trips at a ratio of 1 adult to 12 students

    Each group is accompanied by a French leader who stays on site for the entire duration of the trip

  • Classic Immersion Session

    1. Classic Immersion Session:Arrival airport: New York or Chicago
    • Participating in the family’s daily activities: Your child will be able to participate in their family’s daily life and adapt to the customs and traditions of their new country. The key to a successful stay lies in the young person’s motivation and ability to take full advantage of their immersion to discover a foreign country, language, and culture.
    • This homestay experience offers the chance to discover American life, for example through shopping and leisure activities, local outings, and spending time with friends or other members of the host family. The family generally treats the student not as a mere guest, but more as a member of the family.

    Each group is accompanied by a French leader who stays on site for the entire duration of the trip

 

Accommodation

  1. With a family selected and visited by our local organizers. Learn how families are selected
  2. One French person per family
  3. Participation in daily life and family activities
  4. Full board(on excursion days during the “Discovery” session, a packed lunch is provided by the host family)

Supervision

  1. Each group is accompanied by a French leader
  2. This supervisor stays on site for the entire duration of the trip and can be reached by parents and students
  3. He supervises the excursions and activities included in the program (depending on the session chosen)

Destinations

  1. The students will mainly stay in small or medium-sized towns, generally located away from large cities and major urban centers. In fact, families in these towns are more available and offer our students a warm and welcoming reception.

  3. Arrival airport: Chicago; regions to visit: Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana, Southern Wisconsin
