Summer Camp in Ottawa – Toronto and Niagara Falls Option

English classes and a variety of activities on a beautiful international campus, plus tours of Toronto and Niagara Falls Ages 13–17 – 8th through 11th grade

This program is designed for anyone who dreams of studying on a fantastic international campus in Ottawa, located near the city’s main tourist attractions. Every day, students will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of sports, arts, and cultural activities. They will also go on field trips to Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Accommodation

  1. On the beautiful campus of Carleton University, near downtown Ottawa
  2. Comfortable rooms with 1 to 4 beds
  3. You can stay with one or more friends
  4. The presence of students from many different countries on campus
  5. A wide range of modern facilities and amenities: green spaces, a gym, sports fields and playgrounds, a swimming pool, a theater, and more.
  6. Full board with hot meals for lunch and dinner ( on excursion days, packed lunches are provided)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 15 students of different nationalities, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Courses taught by a team of qualified Canadian instructors

Supervision

  1. Canadian and French teachers and instructors available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 15 young people
  3. 1 French supervisor on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 6 afternoons of recreational activities per week, led in English, such as:

    Cultural tours: Tours of Ottawa, the Canadian Parliament, the National Museum of Nature, Upper Canada Village, a visit to Omega Park to see many species of Canadian wildlife in their natural habitat, etc.
    Sports and recreation: tennis, ultimate frisbee, bowling, swimming, soccer, dance, laser tag, bubble soccer, basketball, baseball, Olympic games, etc.
    Calypso Park, Canada’s largest water park
