Middle School Trip to England – Discover London

A perfect balance between English classes and exploring London Ages 11–14 / Ages 14–17 – 6th through 11th grade

The "Middle School – Discover London" program is designed for anyone who dreams of immersing themselves in the heart of the British capital while improving their English. In addition to three hours of English lessons per day, students will explore the many attractions of London and enjoy a wide variety of sports, recreational activities, and evening social events.

Accommodation

  1. Very pleasant residences carefully selected by our teams
  2. Comfortable rooms with 1 to 4 beds (and sometimes 4 to 6 beds for younger children)
  3. You can stay with one or more friends
  4. Full board with hot meals for lunch and dinner ( on excursion days, packed lunches are provided)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Classes taught by a team consisting of an English-speaking teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining a variety of teaching approaches
  8. Submitting a trip report

Supervision

  1. English and French teachers and activity leaders available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French director on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 3 to 4 guided tours per week in London,conducted in English, such as:

– Explore landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Madame Tussauds, the British Museum, and more .
A cruise on the Thames and a panoramic view of London from the famous London Eye
Shopping on Oxford Street, Regent Street, or Knightsbridge, etc.

  1. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, conducted in English, such as:

Sports: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
Arts and leisure activities: drawing, escape games, crafts, scrapbooking, etc.

  1. Every evening, supervised activities such as: LEC Party, karaoke, trivia night, talent show, casino night, giant "Draw and Win," BBQ party, fashion show, social games, and more.

 

The "Discover London" option is also available with homestay accommodation .
