The Football-themed English Summer Camp in France is designed for all children who want to study on a beautiful campus and, in addition to three hours of English lessons per day, dream of fully embracing their passion for soccer, while enjoying a wide variety of recreational activities and evening events—all without leaving France.

Accommodation

  1. On the beautiful campus of the Institution Marmoutier, on the banks of the Loire, where daily life is conducted in English

  6. Full board with hot meals prepared on-site, mainly using local ingredients

English classes

  • Three hours of introductory English lessons per day, in the morning, taught by a team of qualified bilingual teachers
  • Classes of 12 to 15 students organized by grade level
  • An interactive teaching approach tailored toelementary school students: role-playing , songs, music workshops, flashcards, memory games, stories, and fables, etc.
  • Many classes are organized around a specific theme ( Harry Potter, ecology, travel, American movies and TV shows, English-speaking celebrities, etc.) to spark discussion andencourage students to participate as much as possible in English
  • Presentation of an LEC Certificate for a Language Study Abroad Program
  • Sending a trip summary   

Bilingual instruction

  1. English-speaking teachers and activity leaders available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French director on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being
  5. Coaching in accordance with Youth and Sports standards

Soccer and other recreational activities

The LEC Summer Camp experience also gives children the chance to enjoy the beautiful green spaces on our campuses and try out new activitiesin a safe environment.

  1. 6 three-hour soccer sessions ( see details below)
  2. On other afternoons, the young person chooses what they want to do from a selection of activities, such as:
    • Sports activities and an introduction to sports from the English-speaking world: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, tennis, cricket, badminton, beach volleyball, table tennis, yoga, etc.
    • Artistic and cultural activities:theater, drawing, escape games, origami, immersion in Anglo-Saxon worlds (Harry Potter, DC Comics, Marvel, Sherlock Holmes, etc.), tasting British or American pastries (pancakes, scones), etc.
  3. Every evening, the students enjoy supervised English-language activities, such as: Talent Contest, BBQ Party, Mystery Night, Movie Night, Prom Night, LEC Party, etc.

Football Theme: Details

  1. 6 sessions of 3 hours each, in the afternoon

  4. Improving individual skills and teamwork
  5. Development of tactics and game awareness: defensive positioning and repositioning, team management, pressing, offside rules, attack-defense balance, ball control, and coordination, etc.
  6. Positions-specific drills (forward, midfielder, defender, goalkeeper)
  7. Practice on dribbling techniques, passing, shooting with the foot and head, etc.

The soccer program is taught in French.

2/ Without transportation (individual travel)
For all stays, you may choose to drop off your child directly at the residence campus on the first day of the stay and pick them up there on the last day of the stay during the time slots that will be provided to you after registration.
