Club 4 Stay and Activities in Malta

Small-group classes of 4 students with a Maltese teacher and a variety of group activities Ages 14–17 – 8th through 12th grade

In Club 4 and Activities, we form small study groups of four students. A Maltese teacher conducts English classes in the morning, and in the afternoon, the students join the rest of the group for a variety of recreational activities and supervised evening events.

Your trip at a glance

Accommodation

  1. With a family selected and visited by our local organizers
  2. 2 French speakers per family (option to stay with a friend)
  3. Full board (packed lunch provided at noon)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Small groups of 4 students. In exceptional cases, and to ensure that the groups are of similar ability, they may consist of 3 or 5 students.
  3. Personalized instruction
  4. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  5. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  6. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  7. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, etc.
  8. Classes taught by a qualified Maltese instructor (TEFL – Teacher of English as a Foreign Language) who is accredited by the Maltese Ministry of Education
  9. Submitting a trip report

Club 4 Language Immersion Program

Supervision

  1. Maltese and French teachers and instructors
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 6 to 7 afternoons a week of structured recreational activities in English with the entire group, such as:
    1. water-based sports: swimming, beach soccer, volleyball, etc.
    2. cultural visits: the walled city of Mdina, Valletta—the capital of Malta—, the Mosta Dome—one of the largest in the world—, etc.

  1. 3 to 4 organized evening events per week, such as: International Party, Harbor Cruise by Night, Festa Evening, karaoke, or pool party, etc.

 

Important: All English language programs in Malta are reserved for young people who can swim.
