Study Abroad Program in Spain

A stay that combines learning with fun, thanks to a variety of recreational activities Ages 11–14 / 14–17 – 6th through 11th grade

This program combines a balanced mix of classes and activities, making it ideal for improving your Spanish. It offers the opportunity to learn Spanish in a unique setting through engaging classes tailored to the students’ level, while participating in a varied recreational program.

Your trip at a glance

  1. 1 or 2 children per family(your choice)
  2. 3 hours of class per day
  3. 12 to 15 students per teacher
  4. A variety of recreational activities (sports, excursions) led in Spanish
  5. Guided tours departing from 4 cities

Accommodation

  1. With a family selected and visited by our local organizers
  2. Your choice: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
  3. Families living in residential neighborhoods near the campus
  4. Full board (on weekdays, a packed lunch provided by the family at noon)

Family 1

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Classes taught by a team consisting of a Spanish teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining different teaching approaches
  8. Submitting a trip report

Lesson 13

Supervision

  1. Spanish and French teachers and instructors
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
  4. Priorities: progress in Spanish, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 5 afternoons of recreational activities per week, led in Spanish, such as (depending on the location):

– Sports: tennis, swimming, bowling, soccer, table tennis, volleyball, mini-golf, badminton, etc.
– Cultural attractions: FC Barcelona Museum, Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s Palau de Capricho, Guggenheim Museum, etc.

  1. A one-day excursion, such as: Barcelona, Santander, Bilbao, Málaga, etc.
