Family Immersion & Surf Camp

Experience a homestay with an Irish family and go surfing with other Irish teens Ages 13–17 – 7th through 10th grade

The Family Immersion & Surf Camp is a program designed for young people who want to experience life with an Irish family while learning to surf. These programs, which do not include English lessons, offer the chance to discover a new way of life from the inside, while practicing English in everyday situations. It’s the perfect way to improve your skills and feel more comfortable speaking English while deepening your understanding of Irish culture through surfing, surrounded by other young Irish people!

Accommodation

  1. With afamily selected and visited by our local organizers
  2. Choose between: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
  3. Participation in daily life and family activities

Supervision

  1. Each group is accompanied by a French leader
  2. He stays on site for the entire duration of the trip and can bereached by parents and students

Surf Camp: Details

  1. 5 two-hour sessions per week
  2. Surf camp located near families
  3. International surfing sessions with young people from Ireland and around the world
  4. A program suitable for bothbeginnersandexperienced surfers
  5. Classes taught in English by certified instructors
  1. Discover the world of surfing, its culture, history, and philosophy
  2. Teaching basic postures and movements
  3. Depending on the surfers' skill level, transitioning from lying down to standing up, mastering steering and speed control, trying out duck dives, takeoffs, and bottom turns, etc.

Important: All trips with the Surf option are reserved for young people who can swim.

Places to stay

  1. The students will mainly stay in small or medium-sized towns, generally located away from large cities and major urban centers. In fact, families in these towns are more available and offer our students a warm and welcoming reception.
