A recognized specialist in organizing language study programs for middle school students, LEC—founded over 50 years ago—has carefully selected outstanding middle schools and high-quality dormitories that meet very strict standards. Everywhere, students enjoy pleasant classrooms, modern sports and educational facilities, and comfortable rooms.

Choosing a boarding school program allows students to experience campus life, make many friends, and feel reassured by the presence of local, bilingual staff available 24 hours a day.

LEC pays special attention to selecting the schools, dormitories, and campuses that host the students.

Locations for language study programs at middle schools, campuses, and dormitories

  1. In England and Scotland, any of the magnificent British schools selected by LEC can serve as your child’s host school, depending on the theme and dates of the stay. The choice of school will be made by our teams, taking into account the dates of the stay, the theme, and the mode of transportation selected by the parents and the student.
  2. In the U. S., in New York, LEC has chosen the St. John’s University campus. In Miami, students will stay on the beautiful Barry University campus, ideally located just a few miles from Miami’s stunning beaches. In Los Angeles, students will stay on the California State University Northridge campus, located near Los Angeles. Students are housed in rooms with 1 to 4 beds.

How are schools, campuses, and dormitories selected?

  1. For each school, we systematically assess the various facilities (classrooms, dormitories, restrooms, cafeteria, sports facilities, kitchens, etc.) to ensure they meet our standards—both in terms of safety and comfort—and to verify that everything complies with the regulations set forth by the AFNOR standard, which we strictly adhere to.

At the end of each program, we carefully review the feedback provided by the students about their experience, as well as the feedback from LEC’s on -site staff who are present during the programs. This allows us to ensure that we maintain the high standards we demand. Many of these schools are long-standing partners, and although the collaboration is ongoing, our teams regularly verify that the services provided continue to meet LEC’s standards.
  2. At each school, a carefully selected team supervises the participants. The team consists of a director, teachers who deliver language instruction, and qualified counselors who supervise activities at a ratio of one adult to 12 students ( at international schools and campuses, and at the school in Malta, at a ratio of one adult to 15 students)
