Accommodation
- With a family selected and visited by our local organizers. Learn how families are selected
- Your choice: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
- Families living in residential neighborhoods near the campus
- Full board (on weekdays, a packed lunch provided by the family at noon)
Supervision
- English and French teachers
- 1 adult for every 12 children
- 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
- Priorities: progress in English, student safety and well-being
Language classes
- 6 hours of classes per day (3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon)
- Working groups of 6 students, organized by program
- Highly personalized instruction
- Courses taught by a team consisting of French professors who teach English at the higher education level (preparatory classes, engineering schools, business schools, etc.) and are thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the exams and entrance exams for which students are preparing, as well as English professors
- Written Exam Preparation Program:
– Reinforce your knowledge of grammar and verb conjugation
– Expand your vocabulary and improve your command of idiomatic expressions
– Refine your translation skills (essays, translations, multiple-choice questions)
– Practice text analysis intensively (comprehension, analysis, synthesis)
– Perfect your written expression techniques (essays, dissertations)
- Oral Exam Preparation Program:
– Improve listening comprehension by listening to video and audio content in the original language
– Practice speaking persuasively through mock oral exams and interviews
– Develop specific skills for oral text commentary
– Debate and discuss current events and major cultural themes
Science Po Prep Program in England
In addition to a solid general knowledge base and an open-minded approach to both international issues and major contemporary social challenges, the English exam for the entrance exams to Sciences Po—or Institutes of Political Studies (IEP)—requires candidates to demonstrate strong reading comprehension and writing skills. A rich and extensive vocabulary will be beneficial for succeedingin the synonym exercise and the written expression question.

Our teachers’ curriculum, which is structured around the core chapters of this year’s syllabus, will help you achieve these goals through a variety of exercises:
- a methodology designed to foster a deep understanding of journalistic texts drawn from the general press and covering current events or social issues
- inference exercises, to sharpen your deductive skills when encountering an unfamiliar vocabulary word
- analysis of the implicit assumptions underlying instructions and questions
- text analysis and argumentation
- work onexpression, including idiomatic structures, in preparation for writing essays
- Preparation for theoral exam (for candidates taking the IEP Paris entrance exam)
Our instructors will ensure that you are fully prepared for the various sections of the exam, providing practice questions that adhere to the time limits set for each part of the exam.
Field trip
- 1 guided day trip led in English, to explore some of the cultural highlights of the region where you’re staying, such as (depending on your location): London, Cambridge, or Brighton, etc.
