England, Spain - July, August - for students in 6th grade and up

The Surf option is available as part of the Courses and Activities program in Spain, the Middle School program in England, or the Homestay program in Ireland.

The Surf Plan in Detail*

  1. In Spain and England: 3 two-hour sessions per week, in the afternoon.
    1. Les cours de surf en Espagne ont lieu dans la baie de Santander, membre du club des plus belles plages du monde, à la Escuela Cantabra de surf, première école du pays depuis plus de 30 ans et l’une des meilleures d’Europe.
    2. En Angleterre, les leçons de surf ont lieu à Surf Saunton situé sur la plage de Saunton Sands, sur la côte du North Devon, largement connue comme l’une des plages les plus spectaculaires du pays. Avec ses 3 miles et demi de sable doré, il n’y a pas de meilleur endroit en Angleterre pour faire du surf avec ses vagues parfaites.
  2. In Ireland: 5 sessions lasting 2 to 3 hours per week
    1. The sessions take place at an international surf camp located near the host families, with groups made up of young people from Ireland and other countries.
  3. A program suitable for both beginners and experienced surfers
  4. Séances animées dans la langue du pays de séjour, par des moniteurs de surf expérimentés
  5. Discover the world of surfing, its culture, history, and philosophy
  6. Teaching basic postures and movements
  7. Depending on the surfers' skill level, transitioning from lying down to standing up, mastering steering and speed control, trying out duck dives, takeoffs, and bottom turns, etc.

Important: All trips with the Surf option are reserved for young people who can swim.

In addition to surf lessons

  1. Two afternoons of recreational activities per week, conducted in Spanish, such as:

– Sports: padel tennis, swimming, soccer, bowling, mini-golf, volleyball, etc.
– Cultural attractions: Santander, the Cantabria region, Capricho de Gaudí, etc.

  1. Day trip: Barcelona, Santander, Bilbao, etc.
  2. Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 12 children

 

  1. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, led in English:

Sports: tennis, swimming, soccer, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
Art activities: drawing, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, etc.
Cultural tours (depending on the location): Oxford or Cambridge University, Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, Roman Baths in Bath, Royal Pavilion in Brighton, etc.

  1. One day trip per week: Bath, Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, etc.
  2. Every evening, supervised activities: LEC disco, karaoke, trivia night, talent show, casino party, giant "Draw and Win," BBQ party, fashion show, social games, and more.
  3. Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 12 children
