Study Abroad Program in Ireland – Rugby Option
This program combines a balanced schedule of English classes with the opportunity to play rugby—in complete safety. It offers the chance to improve your English—the language of Oscar Wilde—in a unique setting through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, all while experiencing Irish-style rugby with six 2-hour sessions at a renowned local club.

Accommodation
- With a family selected and visited by our local organizers
- Your choice: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
- Families living in residential neighborhoods near the campus
- Full board (on weekdays, a packed lunch provided by the family at noon)
Class
- 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
- Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
- Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
- Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
- Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
- Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
- Classes taught by a team consisting of an Irish teacher and a bilingual teacher, offering a variety of teaching approaches
- Submitting a trip report

Supervision
- Irish and French teachers and facilitators
- 1 adult for every 12 children
- 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
- Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation
- 6 afternoons of rugby,conducted in English (see details below)
- Two afternoons of varied recreational activities per week, conducted in English, such as (depending on the location):
–Sports: tennis, swimming, bowling, soccer, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, mini-golf, badminton, etc.
–Cultural tours: Trinity College in Dublin, the Wicklow Mountains, etc. - 1-day excursion: Dublin, Carlow, or Glendalough, etc.

Rugby Option: Details
- 6 two-hour sessions, in the afternoon
- A program suitable for both beginnersandexperienced players
- Training sessions in English led by an experienced coach at a well-known local rugby club
- Over the course of the sessions, you will focus on aspects such as:

Individual technique and understanding of one's role within the team

Tactics: offensive and defensive organization, field management, attacking, support, decision-making, reading the game

Drills by position: forwards, three-quarters, halfbacks, fullbacks

Targeted drills: short and long passes, receiving, safe tackles, rucks and mauls, kicking, coordination, and agility

- To top it all off, the coach can introduce game scenarios, challenges, and mini-gamesto put these skills into practice and build team spirit.
