Study Abroad Program in England – Tennis Option
This program combines a balanced schedule of English classes with tennis practice. It offers the opportunity to learn the language of Shakespeare in a unique setting through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, while participating in a tennis-focused recreational program.
Highlights of the trip
Your trip at a glance
- 1 or 2 children per family (your choice)
- 3 hours of class per day
- 12 to 15 students per teacher
- 6 tennis lessons
- Recreational activities (sports, field trips) led in English

Accommodation
- With a family selected and visited by our local organizers
- Your choice: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
- Families living in residential neighborhoods near the campus
- Full board (on weekdays, a packed lunch provided by the family at noon)

Class
- 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
- Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
- Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
- Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
- Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
- Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
- Classes taught by a team consisting of an English-speaking teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining a variety of teaching approaches
- Submitting a trip report
Supervision
- English and French teachers and instructors
- 1 adult for every 12 children
- 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
- Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being
Activities and Recreation
- 6 afternoons of tennis, conducted in English ( see details below)
- 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities, led in English, such as (depending on the location):
– Sports: swimming, bowling, soccer, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, mini-golf, badminton, etc.
– Cultural tours: Oxford or Cambridge University, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, Canterbury Cathedral, the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, etc.

- A one-day excursion, such as to London, Cambridge, Canterbury, or Brighton, etc.
- 1 to 2organized evening events(in certain cities on the itinerary), such as: LEC Party, BBQ party, karaoke, etc.

Tennis Option: Details
- 6 two-hour sessions, in the afternoon
- A program suitable for both beginners and experienced players
- Tennis lessons taught in English by certified instructors, with personalized instruction
- Refining basic strokes: forehand, backhand, serve, etc., and an introduction to more advanced techniques: smash, volley, lob, etc.
- Teaching a tactical approach to tennis to help players build their game strategically
- Learning different playing styles: coming to the net, baseline play, etc.
- Putting it into practice during games and tournaments
