Study Abroad Program in Ireland – Fun and Adventures

English classes and thrilling adventure activities in the heart of Ireland Ages 11–14 / 14–17 – 6th through 11th grade

This program combines a balanced schedule of English classes with the chance to safely enjoy thrilling activities. It offers the opportunity to learn the language of Oscar Wilde in a unique setting through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, while participating in a recreational program focused on adventure activities.

Your trip at a glance

Accommodation

  1. With a family selected and visited by our local organizers
  2. Your choice: 1 or 2 French students per family (option to stay with a friend)
  3. Families living in residential neighborhoods near the campus
  4. Full board (on weekdays, a packed lunch provided by the family at noon)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Classes taught by a team consisting of an Irish teacher and a bilingual teacher, offering a variety of teaching approaches
  8. Submitting a trip report

Supervision

  1. Irish and French teachers and facilitators
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French staff member on site, available to parents and students
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 5 afternoons of 2-hour adventure sports sessions, led in English: 

– Safe and enjoyable activities, such as: inflatable obstacle courses on the water at Baysports (Ireland’s largest inflatable water park), laser tag, archery, kayaking, and a team challenge involving the construction of a hut—requiring strategic thinking, precision, and teamwork— led byprofessional Irish instructors

Experience unforgettable moments in a beautiful natural setting

  1. 3 afternoons of recreational activities, led in English, such as: bowling, an introduction to Irish sports, a walk, and a boat trip on the River Shannon, etc.
  2. Day Trip to Dublin

Note: This trip is open only to children who can swim and are at least 110 cm tall
