Middle School Trip – Discover Barcelona

Spanish Classes and Exploring Barcelona Ages 12–14 / Ages 14–17 – 7th through 10th grade

The "Middle School – Discover Barcelona" program is designed for anyone who dreams of immersing themselves in the heart of Barcelona while improving their Spanish. In addition to three hours of Spanish class each day, students will explore the many treasures of Barcelona and enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities and relaxing evenings.

Accommodation

  1. A magnificent residence, Residencia Sarrià, ideally located in a quiet area near the heart of Barcelona, with comfortable rooms accommodating 1 to 4 people
  2. You can stay with one or more friends

  5. Full board with hot meals for lunch and dinner ( on excursion days, packed lunches are provided)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Courses taught by a team of qualified bilingual instructors
  8. Submitting a trip report

  1. Teachers and facilitators who are bilingual available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French director on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in Spanish, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 3 to 4guidedtours per week in Barcelona,conducted in Spanish, such as:

– Explore must-see attractions such as the famous Sagrada Família, La Pedrera, Park Güell, the Magic Fountains of Montjuïc, Las Ramblas, the sandy beaches of the Costa Brava, the Barça Immersive Tour, and more.

  1.   LEC Exclusive! 1 trip to PortAventura theme park included

  1. A day at a water park
  2. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, conducted in Spanish, during which students choose what they’d like to do from a selection of sports and artistic activities, such as : tennis , swimming, soccer, drawing, beach time, dance, Olympic-style games, beach volleyball, escape rooms, table tennis, arts and crafts, paddleboarding, etc.

Spain: A Youthful Atmosphere

  1. Every evening, supervised activities in Spanish, such as: LEC Fiesta, karaoke, pop quizzes, talent night, casino party, giant "Draw and Win," live Cluedo, fashion show, social games, etc.
