Middle School Trip to England – Soccer

ENGLISH LESSONS AND SOCCER TRAINING AT A BEAUTIFUL ENGLISH SCHOOL Ages 11–14 / 14–17 – 6th through 11th grade

The Middle School – Soccer Program is designed for anyone who wants to study at a superb English middle school and, in addition to three hours of English classes per day, dreams of fully embracing their passion for soccer, all while enjoying a wide variety of recreational activities and fun evening events.

Accommodation

  1. StunningBritish secondary schools, carefully selected by our teams
  2. Comfortable rooms with 1 to 4 beds (and sometimes 4 to 6 beds for younger children)
  3. You can stay with one or more friends
  4. On campus, high-quality sports and educational facilities: green spaces, a gym, sports fields and playgrounds, a swimming pool, a theater, etc. (depending on the location)
  5. Modern and comfortable classrooms
  6. Full board with hot meals for lunch and dinner ( on excursion days, packed lunches are provided)

Class

  1. 3 hours of class per day, in the morning
  2. Classes of 12 to 15 students, formed based on a placement test
  3. Interactive courses for significant improvement in both writing and speaking
  4. Practicing speaking skills to build self-confidence
  5. Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension
  6. Practical exercises, press reviews, discussions, role-playing, etc.
  7. Classes taught by a team consisting of an English-speaking teacher and a bilingual teacher, combining a variety of teaching approaches
  8. Submitting a trip report

Lesson 2

Supervision

  1. English and French teachers and activity leaders available 24 hours a day
  2. 1 adult for every 12 children
  3. 1 French director on site, available to parents
  4. Priorities: progress in English, youth safety and well-being

Activities and Recreation

  1. 3 afternoons of soccer per week, conducted in English ( see details below)
  2. 2 to 3 afternoons of recreational activities per week, conducted in English, during which students choose what they’d like to do from the following ( depending on the location):
    sports, such as: swimming, dance, volleyball, basketball, Olympic-style games, table tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, bowling, etc.
    arts and leisure activities, such as: drawing, escape games, scrapbooking, crafts, etc.
    cultural visits, such as: the universities of Oxford or Cambridge, the Roman Baths in Bath, etc.

  1. One day trip per week, such as to Cambridge, Bath, Oxford, London, or Bristol, etc.
  2. Every evening, supervised activities such as: LEC Party, karaoke, trivia night, talent show, casino night, giant "Draw and Win," BBQ party, fashion show, social games, and more.

Football Theme: Details

  1. 3 sessions of 3 hours each per week, in the afternoon
  2. A program suitable for both beginners and experienced players
  3. English language classes led by an experienced instructor
  4. Improving individual skills and teamwork
  5. Development of tactics and game awareness: defensive positioning and repositioning, team management, pressing, offside rules, attack-defense balance, ball control, and coordination, etc.
  6. Positions-specific drills (forward, midfielder, defender, goalkeeper)
  7. Practice on dribbling techniques, passing, shooting with the foot and head, etc.
