What currencies are used in the Country LEC offers Country ? Do I need to exchange money for my child before they leave?

Once you have registered for a language study program abroad with LEC, you will be asked to provide your child with spending money to cover local transportation and personal expenses (postcards, souvenirs, etc.). We strongly recommend that you purchase foreign currency (at a currency exchange office, through your bank, at certain train stations, at the airport, etc .) before your child departs.

  • In Malta, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Greece, and France

Ces pays font tous partie de la zone Euro, votre enfant devra donc uniquement être muni d’Euros.

  •  In England and Scotland

For a language study trip to the United Kingdom, your child will need to bring British pounds to make purchases while there.

  • In the United States, Canada, and Australia

Be sure to give your child some cash (USD in the United States, CAD in Canada, and AUD in Australia).
